PORTS & MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT JOINS RAGGED EDGE TEAM

Since 2000, Ragged Edge Consulting has built a reputation for quality, timely and innovative commercial consulting and recruitment solutions within the ports shipping, freight and logistics sector. We are delighted to announce that in January 2011, Graham Evison, most recently the Chief Operations Officer at the Port of Port of Spain, Trinidad, will be joining us as our Ports & Management Consultant. Graham brings with him over 40 years experience of port operations, including over 20 years in management, planning, projects and infrastructure development, gained from working in locations both in the UK and worldwide. He has extensive and wide range of skills in practical shipping management , complemented by excellent stakeholder satisfaction relationships, and significant exposure to project development and management, in both general, break bulk, ro ro, lo lo, and vehicle operations. This includes terminal operations, setting and achieving KPI’s, labour relations, infrastructure and equipment identification and requirements, associated labour training and health & safety matters. Completed projects include, a review of operating procedures at one of Europe’s largest container terminals, operating procedures implementation (Beirut), new port infrastructure proposals (Thailand) and (Ireland), improved productivity, efficiency and stakeholder relations Port of Port of Spain, Trinidad. He has the management experience and the organisational skills required to undertake effective port planning and development projects, together with a wide ranging knowledge of the various operating practices relevant in port management and operations.
