Description :

Our client is a privately-owned Logistics Service Provider for the petro-chemical, liquid gas and dry bulk industries. They excel in the global market with high quality service and an excellent relationship with its key suppliers. 

They operate a global network with over 1000 employees in 30 worldwide offices and are supported by dedicated employees, an advanced IT System and equipment that exceeds expectations. This network provides local support on a global scale.

Due to continued planned expansion they are now seeking to recruit an Account Manager (non-management) who will be responsible for the efficient and effective implementation of commercial contracts whilst ensuring delivery of a high-quality customer experience, ensuring that the client is meeting or exceeding contractual performance levels and KPI’s.  



Responsibility for operational contacts with customers, managing existing and new customer accounts

Implementing the client’s commercial policy, entering transport contracts with customers within an established commercial framework

Assessing the feasibility and practicality of transport jobs and assignments

Administering and inputting the correct data into the Transport Management System (Transfusion) including raiding and monitoring sales invoices

Raising invoices (including on-charges) and assisting in the monitoring and collection of outstanding payments

Monitoring the gross margins of accounts at trip level, discussing outcomes with key stakeholders and implementing actions for improvement and optimization

Support and develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers

Upholding and promoting the Company’s health, safety and compliance procedures


Ideally educated to degree level but as a minimum, applicants must have at least GCSE (‘O’ level) standard including minimum grade C in Mathematics and English Language 



Strong and concise communication skills, both written and verbal

Good grammatical and numerical skills

Strong analytical approach to cost management

Fully competent with IT including Microsoft Office applications (Word / Excel / Power point / Outlook) and bespoke traffic management software


Must have previous proven experience as an Account Manager, ideally within a liquid bulk environment.  Candidates with suitable related experience of working within a transport or environment and who are wishing to develop may be considered 

Operational knowledge of chemical products including ADR would be advantageous


Organised and accurate with good attention to details

Self-motivated and able to work to strict deadlines in a fast paced, customer focused environment

A pro-active problem solver

Effective personal time management skills and the ability to prioritise tasks

Good interpersonal skills and a genuine team player
