Justin Atkin - Consultant
An experienced Senior Manager working in the Ports, Shipping and Logistics.
With over 20-years experience in the Ports industry, Justin has held a number of senior positions across operational, commercial and general management functions.
During his most recent role Justin was responsible for managing numerous regional, national and international key accounts active in a number of different industries. He developed strong, sustainable relationships with customers, gaining an informed insight into their business, developing solutions tailored to their requirements.
Justin spent more than 6 years as Terminal Manager of Associated British Ports Humber International Terminal where he was responsible for implementing and executing bulk handling solutions for customers in the Energy, Agricultural, Industrial, Steel and Construction sectors.
In his role as Head of Bulk Operations, Justin was also responsible for the development and delivery of the Company’s agribulks and fertilizer terminals. He also worked on the feasibility and delivery of a number of major projects including Humber International Terminal Phase 2 (£59m); Immingham Renewable Fuels Terminal (£130m); and a number of bespoke bulk handling, processing and storage projects.
At Group level Justin has chaired specialist sector teams in Agribulks and in Construction, as well as sitting on a panel researching logistics in the Energy sector including coal, biomass and LNG
Justin is a Board member of the Coal Industry Society; sits on the Members Advisory Panel of the Association of Bulk Terminal Operators (ABTO) and is a Board member of Franklin College’s Logistics Career Academy.
