“Think Big” was the simple advice that Ragged Edge’s Justin Atkin gave to his mentee ‘Super’ Daniel Noble as the pair said their farewells at the end of a 2 year long mentoring programme.
Organised by Franklin College in Grimsby, the Career Ready scheme pairs students with mentors from local businesses with the aim of helping them to prepare for the next stages of their careers, whether in further education or employment.
Daniel, who has been studying Computer Science and Physics and plans to pursue a career with the Civil Service said, “I’ve enjoyed my time at Franklin and have found the mentoring programme especially useful in developing my planning and communication skills. Justin has helped to develop my confidence and I’m very excited about the next phase of my career”.
Speaking about the Career Ready scheme Justin said, “This is a fantastic programme helping to develop our next generation of talent. It gives them an insight into business and pairs them with mentors who can help to guide and advise them as they plan their career paths”.
